It is in good condition, with some peeling, fading and flaking of the covers, and some internal darkening of the pages with blemishes though the text is clear and clean.
There are a series of penciled notations from its ownership history on the inside page of volume 1. This is the complete 4 volume set, a rare collectible of early American Biography. Display case 7. Good. Item #86
