Leeser, a towering leader of traditional American Judaism and chazzan of Philadelphia's Mikveh Israel, produced this volume to counter the complete lack of English-language educational materials for Jewish youth in the United States. The text covers the foundational tenets of the Mosaic religion, the Ten Commandments, and the structural moral codes of scriptural law.
