Pictorial Completion Test II [early IQ test]
Chicago: C.H. Stoelting Company, 1917.
First Edition. Original black box container. Two large wooden boards displaying eleven sequential color illustrations by Marguerite Davis, all of which feature recessed square apertures. Complete with a full set of small wooden picture tiles. Box shows typical shelf-wear; boards and tiles remain vibrant with minor age-toning.
A sophisticated early performance-based intelligence test designed by the director of the Judge Baker Foundation. Unlike traditional verbal tests, this assessment required the subject to complete a narrative sequence depicting a day in the life of a schoolboy by selecting the most logically appropriate tiles from a larger pool. A significant artifact from the era of applied psychology and the development of standardized mental measurements.
