Internal pages are exceptionally clean with a crisp, tight binding. Spines show light, uniform sunning; slipcase has moderate shelf wear and minor tanning to the edges.

Translated by George B. Ives with an introduction by André Gide and additional notes by Grace Norton. This celebrated three-volume set remains one of the most aesthetically pleasing ways to read Montaigne.
