Presumed first printing. 271 [2] pp. Publisher’s dark brown/black cloth, gilt pictorial stamping to upper cover (fish and flying birds) and gilt spine lettering; decorative border rules to boards. Exterior shows moderate toning with scattered foxing, edge wear, worn spine ends; text block toned; frontispiece present (as pictured) along with page guard. The inscription on the flyleaf reads: “To Mr. Edward Banks, Wilmington, Del. With compliments and fraternal regards of Fred E. Pond (‘Will Wildwood.’)”
Classic late‑19th‑century American sporting verse by Isaac McLellan. This 1886 volume was edited with a memoir of the author by “Will Wildwood” pen name of Fred Pond.
