Little Turtle (also known by his Miami name Mihšihkinaahkwa, meaning “Great Turtle”) was a chief of the Miami people and one of the most important Native American military leaders of the late 18th century. Young’s work helped preserve and popularize the history of Little Turtle and his role in resisting U.S. expansion during the Northwest Indian War (1785–1795). Good. Item #363
