Cincinnati: Applegate & Co., 1854. 288 pp. This is a later edition printed in 1854. The first printing was in1838. Green cloth boards with gold gilt lettering on spine. Binding is solid but is slightly slanted. Pages have some foxing and age toning. There are faint pencil markings in places. No tears or other markings. 

This book was one of the earliest biographies of a Native American leader and is a crucial narrative in Black Hawk War history and U.S.–Native relations.
