Front cover has minor wear, spine has strong color, and printing is clean and strong. Back cover has some moisture staining on top, and light wear. 

Eugene V. Debs wrote this book as a memoir and critique of his imprisonment in the 1920s. It is a first-hand account of his time in prison and contains his observations and beliefs on how the prison system functions in American society and how it can be improved.
