A desirable first printing of one of the principal Arkham House collections of H. P. Lovecraft's fiction, gathering three of his major longer works—At the Mountains of Madness, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, and The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath—alongside such celebrated tales as The Shunned House, The Dreams in the Witch-House, and the Randolph Carter stories. Published more than a quarter-century after Lovecraft's death, the volume played an important role in keeping his fiction in print for a new generation of readers. The first printing is readily distinguished by its green Lee Brown Coye dust jacket and the colophon stating that 3,000 copies were printed. M1. Near Fine. Item #1050
